Hi. My name is Billy Mitchell. It really is. Ha, ha. Started flying in the early ''70's on the G.I. Bill. Went all the way up through Multi-engine, instrument and commercial. First airplane was a Piper Warrior, then a Cessna 310, next a Commander 114 and an open cockpit bi-wing called a Skybolt. Sold the Commander in 2013 and kept the Skybolt to scratch the itch once in awhile. Well, that wasn't enough so I just bought a B23 Musketeer. Biggest bang for the buck. Wanted to go to Sun-N-Fun again and hate to drive and it doesn't seem right driving to a fly-in. Ha, ha. Somewhere in all that I had a Citabria for a while. Took a buzzard through the windshield of the 310 in "95 and crashed the Citabria in '07. You would think that all that would take care of the itch. Well at 76 years of age the itch is worse so here we go again. Ha, ha. :clap:

Hello all. It's been a long time since I have posted anything. About 8 years. Had some health issues. Sold the Sundowner when I lost my medical. Spent a lot of time reading Beech Talk while my health was coming back. Got Basic Med and the itch again. About a year ago I bought a 1965 Mooney M20C. Now at 84 years old I am flying again. It is fantastic. I don't know how long It can last but I'm holding on as long as I can. The Beech Talk Forum has gotten me through a lot down times. :clap:

84 years old, resuming flying after being off for some period of years (apparently), now in a new-to-him retract. Obviously, he’s self insured.
