What are your normal cruise numbers at, let say 15,000?

Very cool. Congratulations! Looking for my copy, soon.

Ken, you know what that means...you have to showcase her with the C2O mass arrival to AirVenture this summer.

The cruise tables from the Owner's Manual, which seems to be fairly accurate show:

14,000 ft, 30" MP, 2400 RPM (65% power): 213 MPH on 140 lb of fuel per hour.

16,000 ft, 30" MP, 2400 RPM (65% power): 217 MPH on 140 lb of fuel per hour.

Interpolating to 15,000 ft and converting to knots and GPH, the charts show 187 KTAS on 23 GPH. Real life I would imagine around 183 KTAS on 23 GPH. I think the charts are about 4 knots optimistic based on my actual speeds, although my fuel flow it exactly on book numbers. But I have a STOL kit and a scoop for the air conditioner and scoops for the intercoolers. I'll bet a P337 without those drag items would be exactly on book speeds.

If you want to go to 75% power:

14,000 ft, 33" MP, 2450 RPM (74% power): 223 MPH on 157 lb of fuel per hour.

16,000 ft, 33" MP, 2500 RPM (76% power): 229 MPH on 161 lb of fuel per hour.

Interpolating to 15,000 ft and converting to knots and GPH, the charts show 197 KTAS on 26.5 GPH. Real life I would imagine about 194 KTAS on 26.5 GPH in my airplane.

Last week I was at 17,500 ft and got 186 KTAS (197 kts GS with a bit of a tail wind) on 23 GPH (11.5 GPH per engine).

I actually posted that flight on Ground Speed Records right after I started my descent: http://www.groundspeedrecords.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=205&Itemid=2015

I've been flying for well over 20 years and have never been to AirVenture. Maybe this will be the year . . .

Nope. Standard TSIO-360C engines.

There's nothing in the article that I haven't said somewhere on BT if you search my posts, but I uploaded it to one of my web sites.
