I've done coast to coast many times non stop.

The PC-12 is not a truly reliable transcontinental aircraft. It doesn't have that much range even in zero wind.

PC-12NG has about 1600 nm NBAA IFR range. The closest the Atlantic and Pacific get across the USA is over 1800 nm, and that's San Diego to the shores of Georgia. JFK to LAX is 2150 nm, the flight that has come to define "transcontinental".

You're always telling me I can't do what I'm already doing and have done many many times.

Here's Atlanta to Palm Springs non stop with 6 plus bags on board. WEST bound!!!

I don't have a dog in the fight, but i think the GE play is a bit odd. Best of luck to them.

I have a fair amount of time behind PT-6 engines, and I've always considered them bullet proof. They have enjoyed many decades of success powering aircraft safely and reliably around the world.

I had never heard of a Walter engine, so I looked it up online. My only thought was, "REALLY??!!" GE's play is to buy a commie engine company, dress up their flagship engine (developed in 1967), and take on the PT-6???

GE has the resources to have developed thei own PT-6 rival. This one has me

No dates, no way to verify that was you or even PC12s, these flights not in the 6 month Flightaware history for your airplane, no way to determine the winds those days. Seems you didn't want anyone checking this out.

I remain unconvinced these images represent typical PC12 capability. If someone buys a PC12 thinking they have a truly transcontinental aircraft, they are going to be sorely disappointed.

A date would allow one to check the winds aloft and determine just how typical this performance was or not.

PT Barnum said something about that.

In any case, constant absence of easily provided verifiable information leaves me unconvinced.

That, and the fact Pilatus gives specs which indicate the PC12 is not a transcontinental aircraft. On the rare day, with the right winds, to airports nowhere near the actual coast, maybe. On any given day, with typical winds, with truly coastal destinations, no way.

Average 3 knot headwind flying west bound over that distance? How lucky is that?

PDK to PSP is 1600 nm which is nowhere near true coast to coast, and not in typical winds.

Guess we have our answer. Thanks for the data.

The hate is strong in this one.

So you do admit I did it then?

"Coast to Coast"...... You're splitting hairs. What other single pilot airplane can do these missions with this payload?

Anyone interested in purchasing a PC12 can PM me and I will put you in touch with my sales guy and he will confirm my flights because he's flown with me on many of them. I have helped several BT'ers buy PC12's. There's one more deal closing as we speak (type).

You're a dangerous guy Ciholas. Your motives are suspect. I'm tired of getting calls from the FAA because someone is making anonymous phone calls and accusing me of wrongdoing. Nothing ever substantiated BTW. Be careful what you write here folks...... Ciholas is taking notes.
