I have a SwitchBox Control unit and I wouldn't want to be without it. It saves me from running 20 miles to the airport to plug in my airplane many, many times. I have my engine heater and battery minder hooked up to it and can start and stop those from my rocking chair in my living room. I also use it to heat the oil if I was going to change oil. However, recently I had to send for a new SIM card because I let mine expire and couldn't get the new one to work, so I contacted Phillip at www.switchboxcontrol.com and he reminded me that the new SIM card would have a new phone number....duh.. Thought it might save someone else from making the same mistake. Roger Hansen Wisconsin Auctioneer 78 Cessna 182Q

Where are you based in Wisconsin? And welcome to BT!

I had my original T-Mobile account expire. Then I looked at the T-Mobile website and found a $3/month prepaid plan: http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/pay-as-you-goI signed up with a credit card, and it handles the monthly renewals automatically. No more need to remember to add funds every few months. This did require a new SIM card (which cost me 99 cents) and gave me a new phone number, but at least now I'm all set for quite a while. - Martin

Thanks guys for both your suggestions. I live up near Rice Lake, Wisconsin but we do auctions all over the state. Better known as Hansen and Young Auctioneers. Thanks for the welcome!
