Team Bezos has a great solution for Cirrus pilots. The crew capsule of Team Bezos shoots off and parachutes safely down to earth. Cirrus pilots sit up there. The vertical landing rocket doesn't have any crew seats, yet. Judging by the polarization seen on BT between chutes being good and bad, I am sure many pilots will say there is no way they are going to space and coming back down via chute. I am sure there will be a robust market for rides on the rocket from pilots who want 'more control'.

At that time the future of space flight and manned exploration looked bright. The good news is that if anyone will do it, it's the private sector. I'm just not sure how they'll make it profitable beyond government contracts. My oldest son intends to be the first man on Mars. He's been telling me for years... He's ten now.
