I have been looking at a 1978 T210 with 7100 hrs on the airframe. All the time has been individual use. Is there an airframe time cutoff you would use when deciding on a purchase? If the plane is flown regularly and maintained well, is 7100 too much time?

7100 hours is about average for a '78. About 175 hours a year. If you know the pedigree and it has not sat around the last few year then a well utilized and maintained plane is good.

I would not worry about TT below 10,000 hours.

7,100 hours TT is probably within the top 5 to 10% for a T210M. Smoking rivets under the inboard wing (spar) and worn cowlings (inside) are some of the signs of age on a T210L/M/N.

Get a 210 expert to conduct a prepurchase inspection. You will not know what's normal.

Where is the plane located ?

Plenty of 135 cargo birds at twice that time. A flown plane is much better than a hangar queen!
