Username Protected wrote: What are you paying for Jet A at Tri State? As little as possible. :-) I rarely buy fuel from them, so I tend to come in with as much as I can tanker. If I need more, I buy it, still cheaper than a fuel stop. List is $5.35, based customers get a $0.25 discount, so $5.10. That is way high for jet fuel generally. Other than Tri State on rare occasions, I don't think I have paid over $4 for fuel in several months now. Mike C.

Username Protected wrote: You paid $2.42 at KAPA in Denver?? Wow thats extremely low for a high profile business airport. It is a pretty good price, it even went down this week to $2.40, but not the cheapest in the US. KDFW Corporate Aviation is $2.34, and there may be others even cheaper. Some international airports are under $2 (but international prices often don't include taxes). Note that KAPA TAC Air charges a $15 "infrastructure fee", not waived like ramp fees. So as people shop using fuel prices, the FBOs tend to fabricate new fees to hide true costs. You still have to call and ask about these fees, such a pain. In many cases, staying at an FBO with higher fuel prices is cheaper once you figure other fees. For example, when I just did a fuel stop in KAPA, TAC Air wins, but if I park for 4 days, Denver Jet wins. Just got to check to be sure. Mike C.

Username Protected wrote: I find current contract pricing at DFW is $2.10/gal. Read the fine print on that one, there is a surcharge and uplift fee: "Fuel must be arranged in advance. ALLIED is our Supplier and applies a $10 flat fee to all uplifts. Additionally, CORPORATE AVIATION - will also assess a surcharge per Gallon at Point of sale based on volume, this fee must be paid w/ CASH or CREDIT CARD. Ask your fuel rep for more detail." So that ain't the real price. Ditto on JetFuelX. Nice! We've needed this for a long time. Now if only it could fully price using a particular FBO with ramp, facility, infrastructure, landing, parking fees. I still end up having to call just about every FBO I visit to make sure of those. Username Protected wrote: Even with all the fees I can't help but wonder why there isn't the same thing for 100LL? Not enough volume, and it is on the decline. http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHa ... 000001&f=AA typical FBO will sell 20-40 times as much Jet-A as 100LL. Due to airline usage, Jet-A is made in very high volume and thus transported by pipelines and other efficient means versus being trucked for 100LL (which has to be kept separated due to having lead). The only fuel program I saw that worked for 100LL was Airnav's Airboss. Even so, the discount was often only pennies. Mike C.

Agreed on the FBO Fees. I'm hoping more people will help populate www.FBOFees.com with their real-world fees so that the data is available to all. So far we've got a lot of the major GA airports in the US, but that is a pittance compared to the total number of GA airports out there...
