After flying a 2013 PC-12NG about 250 hours last year, and getting a feeling for the Pilatus "thing", it's just my gut that the PC-24 will be a record breaking (whatever that means!) success.

The NG consistently leaves me scratching my head with how extremely well it does so many things at the same time. It's an AMAZING airplane.

I think Pilatus will dramatically under promise, and over deliver.

Just my opinion, of course....

You prefer the pc-12 over the B350?

Great question! Short answer is NO. I fly the 350, NG, and TBM8 regularly, and get asked such questions a lot.

When I step into a 350, I do have to go back in time, technologically. Less with a Proline, more with an EFIS, but here's two things:

At $4.6MM, in the NG, I still have to press the NRST button and have a plan in the back of my head in case the never quits PT-6 quits...just like I have to in my personal Cessna 182. At 400' AGL, there are places that we don't really want to think about it.

When I depart in the 350, I am sure in the pit of my soul that the flight is going to terminate at an airport, even if it's not the one I set out for.

The other thing is that the PC-12 makes me grit my teeth in the climb a little, while the B350 does this:

On the other hand, the Honeywell Primus Apex is my favorite avionics suite, hands down.

I'm not a buyer for either, I'm just a guy who bailed out of real life a few years ago to pursue a mid-life crisis career, after realizing everything else bores the crap out of me. :D

I love them both...but the 350 a little more. I like 2 engines better. But it's not my fuel credit card.

I'm not the least bit sure I've answered your question. :D

And YES!: I WANTED the picture to be sideways. That's a THING now.

You did indeed. Much appreciated. I heard you say that for the fuel burn the Pilatus is hands down the best airplane in the world ;-)

Good job on the picture, but I heard it should be sideways to the right :peace:

Um, yeah...I guess I did. If your retainer isn't excessive, I'd like to keep you on as interpreter. :D

Five years is a lifetime in aviation.

Computers, yes.

Airplanes, no.

5 years is FAST. Mustang went from announcement to first deliveries in 5 years and it was about the fastest jet development program ever.

Eclipse 500: 8 years announcement to first delivery.

Cirrus SF50: 9 years and counting...

And you didn't even mention Honda!

(wonder if they'll get it out to the masses in under 2 decades? )

What are dials with the numbers on them?

I was afraid that would come up. I will dig up a recurrent manual and respond in a timely fashion...

OK. Top one is an altimeter. Can't figure out the bottom one.

The one with 29.92? That's the Kollsman window for setting pressure. @ 18,000 set standard pressure, 29.92".

Edit: I just took that the bait hook line and sinker didn't I?

No need for any rereading.

PC12 330 sq ft
Phenom 325 sq ft
Equals the same, except when you consider the cargo space

Winner phenom 300

Phenom 300 has 325 cubic feet including the exterior baggage. I've sat in both side by side many times. The Phenom 300 is NOT larger than a PC12. Since when was exterior baggage a bonus? Even the new PC24 has interior baggage.

Of course I'd take a Phenom 300 over a PC12. Phenom 300 is $9MM, PC12 is $4.7MM. But they're awful close performance wise considering one of them is twice the price of the other.
