I cannot imagine DoD/DoC approving a sale to China.

And so, the Dominos begin to fall. Recall that some time ago, Sikorksi bought 51+% of Eclipse Aero, in order to assure its supply chain of engine, avionics and sub-components. If this ball of yarn unwravels, I wonder if Sikorsky will divest itself of EA in order to show profiability. Its also possible that ownership of EA will be transferred to UTC to "clean slate " Sky for sale. Some buyers wouldnt want the EA liability. Enquiring minds. [ I wonder if M. Ciholas is around]

More than 2/3rds of the plane came from UTC or subsidiaries. also, the engines were the premier platform for that line. If EA goes south (as any small aerospace company can), UTC wont have lost anything. Its all upside at this point. But, then, that the UTC way. Some say they are not indistinguishable from the mafia in their management practices. And I say that with the kindest regard. Its nice to know where you stand with your business partners.
