Finally got it out. Everything working pretty good. Few bugs to fix, but nothing major. I thought they had the fuel calibrated, but they have yet to do it.

No, they are not shaped to my frame at all. I am 5'9" and my wife is 5'5". She thought the seats were more comfortable than any plane she has flown in and that includes the Duke (Well, she did like the KA better :D )

I find the seating position to be very natural and the 4-point harness locks you down well.

It will be better yet when I finish the interior. Currently just have seats. Carpet and side panels should make it feel more comfortable and knock down the noise a bit.

Todd,
Interior will make a large difference. When I flew for PDQ We had an A36 that had such a bad interior that they ripped it out for a while. I trained in that one and then flew it a year later and boy, what a difference the interior made. With the volume up to 90% I could hardly hear ATC on my David Clarks. With the interior the volume was at 40-50 %.

Yep, you and wife will notice that.

When do you anticipate having the interior completed.

Shoot some pics, of course!

Right now, I just want the plane back. Unfortunately, if I do not get it into the interior shop before boat season starts it will be fall before they can handle it. So, maybe if I get the plane back this week I can put it in interior next week. We shall see!

Thanks! Let's hope it adds another 5-10 knots and is smoother!

The "X" is for experimental. Supposedly the blade is tweaked for the higher TAS of the Glasair and other fast clown planes, but I do not know that for sure.

More panel porn. This thing is configurable to anyone's liking. You can even pipe video right into the g3x to watch a movie or from the curb camera and record.

What do you guys think of the round gauges? I am kind of liking them. I like seeing the v-speeds on the dial and feel that you can trend easier with dials.

I was going to ask about those virtual round gauges. I like analog gauges both for trend information and quicker situational awareness. With the ASI, for instance, I know what direction the needle should be punting for a given situation and don't need to read an actual number to know what's going on. However, I find that I don't recognize information as quickly with simulated round gauges.

I've also found that the tape style makes me a more precise pilot. Since I can read speeds accurately, I'm more likely to nail them.
