Hi all,
I'm a 20 year private pilot ASEL, but haven't flown much since the first year of getting my ticket. I was about 10 hours from completing my IFR rating but life got in the way. I plan to finish that rating this year. My interest in flying has been reignited lately and I've been looking at Bonanzas for sale incessantly. I'd love an H35 or newer (for the -470 engine) but the early 50s models are so tempting with their low prices. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. This seems like an awesome forum and I look forward to the friendship and advice available here!

Glad to have you with us David. Something to consider is that early Bonanzas with the E series 185s and 225s are eligible for a mogas STC. Some of the early Debonairs with 470s are also able to legally use mogas (ethanol free) which can save a lot of money in fuel costs. Good luck in your search!

Welcome David! You probably already know you've found a great resource for learning the Beechcraft world.
Another great place is George Baker Aviation just down the road in New Smyrna (KEVB). On any given day you'll find a wide variety of Beech birds being worked on there and owner Curtis and his crew are extremely knowledgeable.
If you find yourself down in Melbourne and I can be of any help feel free to look me up.
