Hello, my name is Shaw from the San Jose California area. I am a very new pilot, still a student in fact, and my home base is Reid-Hillview (KRVH). I'm just about to do my first cross country solo, and looking forward to it very much!

I've been extensively researching which plane I want to buy, and I think that the V35 is the plane for me! I'm already shopping for one, and even have one lined up already.

I'll see you all around on the boards, and hopefully up in the air!

-Shaw

Welcome to BT Shaw and good luck on your XC.
If you ever make it to Iowa, you have a ride in the Red Bo waiting for you. ('67 V)
Tip: on your cross country, don't be afraid to ask ATC. They are typically super helpful.
On mine, going in to a larger class C, they changed the runways on me about 5 miles out. I got all turned around. I asked and they gladly helped.
I had noted first solo cross country in the notes section of the flight plan.

Hi Shaw and welcome to flying in general and BT in particular.

Most of us are seasoned pilots but still share the thrill of flying you describe in your thread topic. The adventure of learning to fly is a special and unique experience. I look back on it like falling in love with my wife - fun, but you only get to do it once. Watching a new pilot go through training makes me envious and fills me with a child like desire to go back and relive the experience.

So enjoy the ride. And please keep us informed about the journey so we can relive it vicariously.

I am also still a student pilot, doing most of my training in an A35. Love to fly, talk about flying, read about flying, think about flying.......

V Tails are the coolest looking airplanes out there!!!!

Welcome to the family!
These guys helped me get my PPL and they even invite me to their fly-ins.
Curious if you have a brother named Ben?

Peace,
Don

Thank you all, I feel very welcome here. I am happy to report I pulled the trigger on the V35B I've been checking out! As long as nothing major comes up in the pre-buy inspection or annual - I'll be a new Beech owner!

Now, time to finish my training.

I'll see you all around on the boards, and in the air!
