Took a demo flight with a very nice fellow, Gary Black, yesterday. It was time for me to see for myself.

Here is the Executive Summary of my Pirep:

Wow.

If they had a cabin to match the -36, I'd be standing at their front door with a check

Can you elaborate past the Exec Sum? A lot of folks sure like the idea of a parachute but how does it actually fly?

Seriously, go ride in one. It is a totally different flying experience. I am talking 2009 or newer.

Then...report back.

Now you've done it! You could have said Mirage or Meridian, A*, Van, Cessna, or anything else. But you said CIRRUS!

Looking forward to hearing another perspective.

I've got 45 hours in mine, now, and like it more every time I get in. And I liked it a lot to begin with.

On Wed., I shot an LP approach and had to miss (KASL). Did a lap in the hold and shot the LPV on the other side and made it RIGHT at minimums. It was the most comfortable I've ever been in LIFR.

Gary is awesome. Navy test pilot type, flies the Cirrus Jet a fair amount. He knows the planes very, very well.
