Have you considered a Twin Bonanza? There is one for sale in Toogoolawah in Qld. It's a D50A, and needs a bit of love. The props ADs are due, so it needs a Ferry permit (impossible from CASA) or fix up in situ. It also needs some control surface attention. It's been a while since I asked about it, but it was too much work for me. A Twin Bo can haul far more than a 58 and it can operate from a short field. Manual reckons 700' is achievable, but I'll just watch the first few.

If you need barn door side access - you need the 58

If you need as much as 196 gallon fuel capacity - you need the 58

If you can tolerate single door access and up to 166 gallon fuel capacity - you can consider the later model E55. Possibly a little faster and lighter than the 58

If you can tolerate single door access and 136 gallon fuel capacity and crisp responsive handling - you can consider the B55. IO470 powered (unless Colemill or Ney modified) and 5100# GW.

C & D55 act and feel like E55's but with only 136 gallon fuel capacity. IIRC, C,D & E55 are 5300# GW
