So in addition to Beech-talk motivating me to get back to flyin (and perhaps doing it to make some money), I was in Nebraska dropping off my daughter at college (Go HUSKERS!) and I looked for some podcast to keep me occupied on the way home and found "aviation careers" podcast. I hope this is ok to post(I don't make a dime from them, I promise!). It is such a great podcast for those thinking of a career, ESPECIALLY late bloomers or 2nd career guys who realized it was their calling (like me, 18 years since last flying). Their tag line (I apologize if it's not verbatim) is "do something today to make it happen". I have followed it and

1. Met a flight school to get info
2. Contacted FAA to replace my old paper license with a new one
3. Got the info for a AME

All within the last week since I got home

Hopefully this will be the beginning of a thread for me to get paid for doing something I love!

Funny, I found a job listing to fly senic flights in and archer for 25/hr. Is it funny that I Would LOVE that job! Need that commercial!!!!

That's great. I've been struggling with keeping flying relevant to my life since I sold a plane in 2014. I'm lucky to have friends let me fly theirs on occasion.

I'm going to be looking at something similar in the near future. Seems pilots are becoming in demand again.
