Planesense was mentioned in another thread today. I had no knowledge of them but have done a bit of google research this afternoon. It looks as if they would be a better option than 121 regional FO for the career change guys with a bit of time but little turbine PIC. Is a direct hire Capt job realistic for the 2000-5000hr crowd? Are the pilots happy? How many hr/yr? Upgrade times?

When you Google them - I'm sure some hits pop up over at the *other* aviation forum (APC). There are extensive threads answering all of the questions you might have about them.

I interviewed and was offered a FO position. I have 2500 tt, ATP, SEL and MEL and CFI-MEI. No turbine time. So, I think they only offer the Captain positions to fairly experienced pilots. However, upgrades are not seniority based and given that a lot of their new hires have 500 tt and you need 1200 to be captain I imagine upgrades would happen fast.

Pay is less than most of the regionals but you don't have to commute on your own time/dime. So, depending on where you liive that is a plus. A negative is that you don't build multi time. And a big plus, the flying looks like fun in a very nice plane.
