If they use Great Lakes as an industry standard the pay will be pretty low.

The OP hasn't responded so I won't pick on him.

That said, (I'm trying to be nice here), it is difficult for me to imagine moving to a very far away place for the opportunity to sit next to a low experience FO while operating in an austere environment.

$36K/Yr

Looking for 15-20 Examiners/instructors & 40 line pilots to join immediately and 2 chief pilots also. Avg. comp/annum should be along the line of $50k-$70k depending on the candidate profile, hours/experience etc.

I don't think you're going to have a line at your door with that level of compensation.

I have all those requiremets.

As stated, you're going to have to pay a lot better than that to pull from the mostly US based talent pool here.

Great! Why don't you drop in a note to tejdeep.singh@deccanair.com with the expected compensation that works for you and we can take it from there.

That is a typical response to many jobs but not for airline jobs.

The expectations is that the pay is clearly defined for all positions.

In some corporate flight departments keeping salaries confidential is normal. That is not the norm and ultimately leads to problems.

You do the research on the salary needed to attract pilots that meet your expectations. Not the other way around?

Pilots do not want to negotiate pay individually they work as a group. It makes for a safer better work environment.

Wow. The Asia aviation expansion is impressive.

I can't imagine how badly a young pilot would have to want a turbo prop job to want to move to and live in India.

The piloting time requirements are down to those levels even here in the states.
