Sidney, it looks like you did pretty good. You know it’s not the kill it’s the buddies and the stories!

Great pix, Mike Yep, that buck was in that patch of shadow where I’m aiming. MG spotted it.

And, you have to love a guy who carries his suppressor to the top of the mountain. :bugeye:

Tom, did you bury Mike’s meat bags? I shot a big ole 6x7 bull off the rut a few years back, that should have been buried. My wife will put me in the ground if I ever fill the freezer with one of those again. The only thing tougher than the meat was the beast himself.

It seems like you guys are not prominently displaying Aleve or other NSAIDs. Are you tough or doing serious editing?

Oh, we live on ibuprofen during the hunt and several days after. This year’s bull required an approximate 8-9mile round trip. 3000 feet vertical climbed. My phone said 194 floors climbed. It took seven hours per trip to bring back a load. This is andrea and i climbing and loading. Approximately 60 lbs of boned out meat per backpack.

Not many of these left in my knees. Trekking poles help alot.

I would only add to that a bipod. You get a little torn up laying on thistle cactus junk but makes for great shots and with a little practice works most places.

Great pics.

And whose fault was that. ;)

We’re here another week. Come on up!

MG and AC are headed back — maybe tomorrow. Could be more venison.

Gotta say that the .308 with 165-gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip did great. Broke both shoulders and kept going. He dropped and rolled downhill ... toward us,

Backstraps tomorrow.

So where's the pic of the dead deer? Or did I miss it?
