Max left this world today to a place where he can be pain free and share his prose with all those other BTers and aviators who have already been called home.

My friend Max was a man who never met a stranger. He always struck me as what one of Jesus' disciples must have been like. Just brief conversations with Max let you know that he cared about you, was always encouraging you, and always had time for you. Max had a way of drawing a crowd to a downtown island airport much the way a disciple drew people in from all over the lands, far and wide. His stories will be with me always, his smile, his pictures....

Thank you Max. We will meet again someday and I will finally take you up on your offer to "come fly with me"

Peace be with you,
Don

Knowing Max made me a better person. I am filled with sorrow but blessed to have known him and for Max to have been a part of my life.

I am so sorry to hear this.

I am not a believer but I hope I am wrong and Max has gotten to re-unite with his daughter.

Max lived his life with grace and kindness.
He shared himself in his deeds and through his writing.
He was brave, wise and full of love.
We have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn and grow from our association with Max.
He will be remembered, and missed.

Tail winds Max.

Godspeed Max!

I'll always remember the phone call we had years ago where he described his Cling Tint process to me.

Rest in a well deserved peaceful place Max.

Mike

So sad to hear this.
I only met Max one time but that was a wonderful privilege for me.
I am delighted that he was flying all the way to the end, I hope I fair as well.
God speed Max, blue skies.
