And this is how I roll. After giving stall/spin/upset instruction during the summer, it's time for me to work on my own basic aerobatic skills. This video of a recent practice session shows mostly rolls. As the gurus say, you get good after doing 1000 to the left and 1000 to the right. Keen observers will note many flaws in my attempts: bobbles as the rolls finish, deviations from straight horizontal lines, irregular roll rates. But that's why we practice. Especially during dynamic maneuvers like high-performance rolls, there's no substitute for regular practice to develop muscle memory and timing.
