I just took delivery of my Piper Malibu today. I will post some PiREps from the journey back to the west coast from Hutchinson KS where I am picking her up.
Here are a few pics.

Love the engine monitor next to the 500....

Was Harry the broker by chance? Good steak house on the field in Hutchinson...

Jesse, I bought from Larry at Grand Junction, they took it in on a trade. I ate a big Rib Eye for lunch at the steak place on the field. I had to take a nap afterwards!

Darn nice airplane. Hands down the best piston single engine airplane for x-country travel.

David:

Nice looking plane and awesome panel. Enjoy it - the malibu is a great airframe - just respect the maneuvering speed in turbulence for a smoother ride!

This is my favorite airplane. I am currently restoring Malibu 4384T for the purpose of reselling. I do not know if I will be able to part with it once I do.

Congratulations.

Hey David - congrats! Great looking PA46 (looks like a 1999 paint scheme), and you're going to love the versatility of the 46. Has Tony been doing the MX on it, or just the PP? Are you thinking about changing out the Hot Plate for glass in the future?

The work has always been done by either kevin Mead and/or Mid West Malibu. It just finished the annual yesterday. No need to change out the hot plate as it works and draws current just fine. And I would certainly do an engine OH before pissing away 35K on a new windshield. There are still plenty of Hot Plates avail, you just need to know where to look :D The paint was done about 10 yars ago and looks really good. The seats will have to be redone in leather, but for now they are presentable. The seats in my Vtail are beautiful and I will probably have the same guy do them. I will be heading back to West Coast from Hutchinson KS probably tomorrow afternoon. Will post some more pica later.
