This is the Sound Visual 34 at KHPN. The winds were 280@28G36. Landed 29. We were the only one because of its length. You can’t get that out of the 750?

Why couldn’t they just scan me again rather than pull on my ripcord? Rules they say. Ok. Let’s do it in public...cause you gunna hate it more than me. Again with the passive aggressiveness. Last time I got a pat down I looked down and asked with a smirk, shouldn't we be getting a cup of coffee first?.

I’m sorry but I just couldn’t resist bumping this thread. I’m stuck on a 130 hr layover in Bogota and after many years lurking on this thread, decided to go from start to finish on it again with all of the free time. What an amazing thread. I do have a few questions:
1. What happened to Blondie? 2. How many leases is Mark up to now? 3. Is Jessie still roaming the countryside on the 550 or did he upgrade already? 4. What ever happened to Alex? (I’m in QRO quite often)
Anyway, Happy Easter everyone, stay safe and have a great day.
Mike

Mike Happy Easter. Quick update: 1) Blondie wanted kids...I didn’t. My oldest is a year younger so BTDT on the kids thing. I hear she is fat and ugly now 2) Bought the Mustang that I had been leasing. I am not current in the CJ or 500 series and hence don’t use those leases. 3) as a sidebar I am closing on an R44 on Weds. Started lessons in January. So much fun. 4) Jesse manages and contract flies a CE560-Ultra replacing the 550 we had been flying for the same client 5) Alex is around and as articulate as ever. 6) btw...speaking of Bogata..my son-in-law is from Medellin

I go through Medellin late tomorrow night back to Miami and then I'm finally done with this trip. A 2-day trip literally turned into a 14-day trip.
In your comparison, how is the Mustang compared to the 550's (specifically the II's) you were flying? How have you found the opex to be, flying aspects, performance, cabin, etc? How do the other people who fly with you like it?
As for leases, I may have to pick your brain offline on those and how they work. I'm in the lease/buy market for a 501/550, but I may possibly have access to a Mustang as well.
Good luck with the R44. I've spent a majority of the last week going through the NTSB databases and well, as I'm sure you already know, the Robinson line isn't doing all that well. Please be ultra cautious with that thing.
Also, are you still doing videos? The prior discussions were extremely educational.
It's a shame about Blondie. Still makes me laugh every time I watch her freakout video.

It's a shame about Blondie. Still makes me laugh every time I watch her freakout video. Mustang...90gph vs 170 550. Programs to manage costs. Perfect single pilot machines. Fadec, Syn viz, Vnav, electric windshields..etc Easier to get in and out of pilot seat...no center console. Speed the same. Better baggage. Carries less people... but rarely carried more people than what the mustang carries. Videos? Go to YouTube...I am N840MD. Re R44...much better safety performance lately. Program I am learning at hasn’t had a fatal in 34 years.
