Flew a rocker trip Sunday with Jesse J. 2700nm. 9.5 hours. 5 at night. Got about 8 hours on the ground between main legs.

Fun times. Jesse is a great captain.

A few pics

Looks like Jesse is developing an affinity for flying jets in Canada. It also looks like someone got their money's worth on contract pilots that day. Long day.

I will say it is a lot of work being captain. Especially for an international trip. And especially when it comes to hearding cats. Customs for 8 guys isn’t simple. Especially when times and who is going keeps changing. Coordinating quick turns, departing mountain airports at night (pitch black night). He was driving the runway in Tumbler Ridge making sure there were no bears on the runway. It was a thing of beauty.

Textbook baby. And yes, I was the first one to “my” office this morning. Beat my staff and I came from the Northern Territory!

Jets are great in that they will make book numbers. Its comforting to calculate accurate performance when you are reducing margins in an unfamiliar airport. Mark’s right though, the numbers could care less about the cost of changing brakes.

I wasn’t going to mention this but..... It happened again today. The other day going into Biloxi AL the tower called to a 172 “Citation on final looks to be going about 100kts. Today as i was arriving in to my home airport approach called to a Bonanza “ Skyhawk 11:00 7 thousand feet descending. Then he said to me A36 about 2:00 5500 feet and climbing. I replyed I know I’m slow but i am a Citation. Looking for the traffic. :bang: :peace:
