It would make a good recruiting tool for the Armée de l'Air (that may be what it is). However, that African base looks about as desolate as they come.

Are you referring to the last second swerve to align on the runway or the fact that the #2 plane touchdown before the displaced threshold? :-)

What really got my attention was how close #2 was to #1 at the start of the video. If #2 was low enough to have #1 in sight then he was TOO CLOSE; if #2 was high enough to be safely clear of #1 then he probably didn't have #1 in sight which is EVEN SCARIER.
