So, I've been poking around at possible long-term upgrade airplanes, and was looking at the TBM.
On one particular site:
http://www.newavex.com/performance.htm, they have some performance data, and it seems incredible. And by "incredible", I mean "not at all believable".
Click on that link, then click the takeoff performance bullet. The ISA day, sea-level performance seems pretty reasonable. The ISA+10 numbers are horrible. I couldn't fly a max gross TBM850 out of a sea-level 4000' strip with a 50-foot obstacle on a day where it was 77*F on the ramp?
I've never flown a turbine (other than in the sim at the 737 ATOP school), but are turbines that temperature sensitive?
