Well, I went from every angle to look for an airplane and like most pilots I've been considering aircraft ownership since I started flying. I thought I'd by my last airplane first and after looking and looking, I figured a Bonanza would fill the bill. After flying in a Bonanza and talking to the owner.... I decided it was way too much airplane for me and my mission.

The Cessna 150 Aerobat has been tugging at me for years and years. It didn't take me long after I flew in the Bonanza to jump ship and go for the Cessna. A 1972 IFR Aerobat. I don't have what I would call a good pictures because I don't have it home yet. A little slow by aviation standards but for what I want to do it is almost perfect or perhaps it is as perfect a fit as can be had for me. I have the hangar waiting. I was thinking of calling her RUH-RO Cuz I plan to do some limited aerobatics (not right away) and sometimes I go.... Uh OH and Oops !!

As I mentioned previously, I will also be able to use her to stay IFR current and proficient after I get my rating. When the need arises, which won't be often, I can rent a bigger faster aircraft.

Congrats, the 150 is a fun little airplane with no bad habits. It will make a fine hamburger hopper, trainer and time builder.

What a cutie! I've never flown an Aerobat, but I'll bet it's fun. I loved every minute of the 50 hrs. +/- of C150 flying I've done.

Welcome to the ranks as owner. Every time you open the hangar doors I guarantee you will smile.

Great job finding a plane for your mission!

Peace,
Don

Congratulations! Have fun, great to see people still want to buy and fly.

Don't mean to be critical! keep it high doing aerobatics.

Congratulations! Some of the most enjoyable flying in my life was done in a 150.

I give you 6 months before you're looking at Bonanzas on controller. I speak from experience. :D

Congratulations, Gene! These airplanes are fun, and like many others here some of my best memories are from flying them. I was also fortunate to get some acro time in one during and after my PPL training. If you're going to do acro, get some good instruction, and read Kershner's Aerobatic Manual, which is based on using the Cessna Aerobat. Just remember, energy management!!
