Diamond just announced the development of the DA62, a 5-place, larger twin than the existing DA42. http://www.diamond-air.at/twin-engine-a ... /da62.htmlhttp://www.flyingmag.com/aircraft/pisto ... MjU1OTA1S0Of course we all know '5-place' mean more like a roomy 4-place but it seems like a noteworthy development since I've always personally felt like the DA42 was a cramped 4 seater. No specs seem to be available yet but perhaps the DA62 will be a legit 4-seater with a practical UL for 4 pax. Does anyone have any additional intel?

Nobody is going to spend $900K without that when the place is littered with good used MU-2's, Aerostars, 58P's etc for a fraction of the cost. The USP is to have that - diesel and all weather. Then they have an in. Actually the DA42 VI production is booked for the year based posts in another forum. Fully loaded, this is about $1.1M Tim

They outsell Beech for piston singles and twins. And they will have tks on it I'm sure, since they were the first OEM to have it on the 42.

Me, as well, Tripp...DA20/40 are great aircraft to learn in, and fun to fly!
