The Duke is number 24. Now you don't even need to look. :D

De gustibus non est disputandum, but some serious errors of judgment there IMO.

Some very, very odd choices…1 & 2 were a no-brainer, but the V-tail (and the 33 if you ask me) should have been in there somewhere.

Damn it!! I KNEW I should have bought a Cardinal rather than a lowly 24th place pig....

Best, Ted

How can Flying list the top 25 most beautiful designs without including the revolutionary design of Beechcraft Model 35?

I agree. The V-Tail trumps the Cardinal any day.

I like most of those but to include the Cub, the Cardinal and the Lancair and exclude the BE35 is heresy! :bat:
They left out the DC-3, the B-17, the C-195; the Stearman all of which I would include. That racing seaplane was cool though. That takes some hair to fly the equivalent of three fuselages through the air at that speed.

Where the H--L is the Starship? What morons came up with this?

BEAU-TY n. The quality of being very pleasing, as in form, color, tone, behavior.

This has nothing to do with the symmetry, identity or presence, it's all in the eye.

Please.

:beechslap:

This list sucks. I count at least 10 that should be in the top 25 ugliest list.

And ....

there's not even one jet fighter.

And what about the X15?

Please... :bat:

Flying's Top 100 Aircraft as advertised end of last year had the 35 Bonanza as the number 1. Not sure what's up with this one?

There is a coffee table book out there I believed called the ugliest planes or something to that effect. 2 of the planes in that 25 are in that book. Eye of the beholder or list maker I guess.

I agree with the staggering and Concorde. 747 fits in there somewhere.
however the starship not being part of the list is sad. As the owner/flier of
2 Beech starships - I think they are one of the most elegant airplanes to fly.
then again I am biased. i am still hoping the XB-71 makes the list someday...
