Looks like a nice aircraft although ugly in my opinion. But what's up with a 12 year development cycle?! Are they that good (or bad)? Is Honda trying to foster "More patience Glasshoppah"? Heck the P-51 went from drawing board to flying in something like 53 days (IIRC). I'm obviously not in the market for this jet and am probably missing something....just curious.

Sorry...looking at this on my iPhone. It looks like it has eyebrow windows from the inside but not the outside. What's in that space on the interior shots?

However, I respect their careful, deliberate development process. They are also creating service centers while the plane development goes on.
A nice difference compared with Eclipse, which started with hype and ended in bankruptcy. They're just "milking it". It's free advertisement for companies of this size. Many of my customers launch new and ridiculous products just to have something to talk about..... To look "high tech" or in the forefront of innovation. Then they cancel the product a year later. "oh hey look at this new and amazing feat of engineering..... It'll be out next year I promise.... In the mean time will flash a picture of it in all of our car, motorcycle and generator ads". Nothing wrong with it. I just don't think they're ever going to deliver it. Why take the risk of a failure? I think it's high risk even for Honda. 1 plane when all your competitors have a bunch of planes?

Honda isn't just a "hey look at me company". They are a real powerhouse and take immense pride in the products they offer. As for the argument that you won't be successful if your a one trick pony company when your competitors offer a full range of products, just look to Pilatus. They have done quite well with essentially one plane.
I believe they will deliver the Honda Jet and like Mitsubishi they will stand behind their product even if it isn't a great success.
Best,
