I believe Epic is now in the old Columbia facility, but I could be mistaken.

I wonder what criteria they used to end up in CA, especially away from an experienced manufacturing workforce.

Tax wise it is always best to get out of CA. That being said congrat's to Nut Tree! I remember when that place was a nice restaurant and family destination.

Vacaville has grown up over the years and this can be good for the local economy which despite some's views needs more jobs like this. Lake Berryessa is only a few miles away so they can do their water testing without much inconvenience too.

Do the Chinese own Icon too?

My parents speak fondly of Nut Tree and some flying dates they had there when they lived in CA briefly in the late 60's. I'm sure my dad will get a kick out of hearing of this relocation.

I'm not sure Icon has gotten into dire financial straights yet that would warrant a Chinese bailout... but there is still time!

I thought I read somewhere that they had significant investment from China.. ??

Nice to have more manufacturing jobs in NorCal.
