Any thoughts on these paint schemes?

If its between these two I choose #2 also. It looks more complete than the first one.
Those two accent lines are better than 1 line.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't care for the gold and black S-curves running from belly to top like that. To me it softens the look of this airplane too much. This is a sexy airplane. A mean, and very fast airplane.

I'd personally take the red and do something on top, but I am slightly biased towards this look... I'd make the wings red too.

Short video of normal flights and stalls. Notice the 4k per minute descent at 210 knots indicated. That was with 14 inches of MP and the gear up. Yellow arc starts at 240 and redline is 300 knots.

Awesome choices for two planes in the hangar, only thing better would be a tailwheel trainer  But the insurance rates blow. For good reason.

I like the red outline better on #2 but not so much the bottom to top accent lines. I would keep the accents out of the red.

Arlen,

The Glasair is still in Phoenix. It is having extended fuel built and then goes to paint. It will be another 45-60 days before I bring it home and then it goes into avionics for upgrade. Hopefully, I can make some other fly-ins with it August or after. It is a very interesting plane to fly.

I think I like this scheme the best. Not as busy as the double stripe and looks a little faster and maybe more modern.

If you insist on red go for a darker shade.

Make sure the N-number follows the reference line of the aircraft, not the pin stripe.
