I just spent 3 days in Albuquerque at the Eclipse Customer Event. It was a lot of fun. I met a lot of really great people. John and Martha King just got typed, and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with both of them (and then departing KABQ they cut me off on the ramp in a 20+knot taxi  )

It was really cool to see the airplanes in various stages of build. It would be amazing to order a new airplane (no matter the manufacturer) and watch it take shape. I am still a year or more away from being able to do this, but perhaps some day ...

EAI really has their act together. They impressed me on a number of levels. The 550 is truly an incredible machine.

It turns out that the Eclipse factory is working on some sort of quantum manufacturing techniques by defying gravity and building planes upside down. Rumor has it that when flying the engines will put fuel INTO the fuel tanks rather than sucking them dry.
