Neema's F model experience reflects mine too. 58gph block to block on long legs at FL 240-250 is what I see as well. I have flown non stop from Portland, Oregon to Minneapolis, Sioux Falls and Kansas City with a little tailwind with more than an hour's reserve. With all sympathy to those outside of an MU2, one of the biggest surprises I had when I first got a ride in one was how loud it wasn't inside. I still use headphones, but my passengers don't always. The ride in rough air is quite good too. If you are looking into pressurized piston twins, these airplanes are well worth a look.

Fire up and leave quickly. Should mitigate most of the sound. Ground comm switch is an mu2 driver’s friend Guess you could make it even quicker taxiing on one engine and firing up the other one on the roll

Yes one 690 that is now gone. No more Garrett’s and I have never had a MU-2

That's dumb. MU-2 is loud in part due to the positioning of the intake. A 441 is not as loud as most of the jets I walk by and no louder than some of the APUs, but those are expected to be loud so no one bats an eye. You're not having a conversation standing next to a beechjet. Not everyone can drive a 421...

Its a wonderful aircraft that is still very efficient and better built than most American airplanes of its vintage. The Lear 23 wasn't so much banned as it was dropped because of its inherent fuel ineffeciency.
