So..... I pull up to Landmark at CHS this morning to fly out. Wow, there's the Honda Jet on the ramp. I'm paying my bill and I'm asking questions to the girl behind the counter about the Honda Jet. Everyone is all "hush hush". They don't seem to really want to let me out on the ramp but my plane is parked right next to it so they have no choice. I walk outside to load up and there are like 12 guys standing around and all of them look at me. Nobody smiles. I say "hi" One guy says "no pictures please". I didn't have my camera out or anything so this kinda puts me in "what a dick" mode. I say "no problem". Of course, I'm thinking "who cares? everyone has seen what the Honda Jet looks like". Right? I load up, get all my covers off etc and it's about time to start up. I ask the line guy "where's the GPU I ordered"? He says "well, we only have one and the Honda Jet guys have been using it all day". I walk over and ask "hey guys, you gonna be on that GPU for a while"? They just look at me. Once again, nobody smiles...... nothing. It's not like I'm some "groupie". My plane is parked right next to them. I don't even like the Honda Jet. Soooooooo, I just start snapping pics. One after another. The HJ guy gets really pissed and say "I told you no pictures". I just wave and smile but I'm thinking "This is a free country, I'll take a pic if I want too" So here you go. I love the tail number "420"? I wonder why? . The "HJ" of course is obvious.

Bravo! I would have done the same thing, but my wave would have been of the 'one finger' variety. These guys sound like complete dicks. This is not the way aviation is supposed to work. They should have invited you to look inside the airplane and had some promotional material to hand you. (especially as someone in a PC-12 parked next to them)

Well done, Jason. They were probably AOG and didn't want that getting out.

Probably the engineering types, lacking in any social skills, simply focused on their data collection. Guess they lost a potential customer, or two, or twenty... You should send a complaint to their PR department, maybe they will give you some free oil changes at a car dealership...
