I just received a FlightAware alert that Bill has filed for Guam Int'l.... scheduled departure from KHNL is 6:45 pm HST. Just checked FlightAware and it looks like he is already airborne... 3800 nm and nothing but water below....

I wold think he wold want to spend a few days in Hawaii and stretch out a little!! I just sold my Lancair 360 the other day and there wasn't much room in that thing. The IV and IVP have a little more room, but it much. After about 3 hours, your screaming to get out and walk. I am impressed.

How big of a boy is Bill?

I cannot even sit in a Lancair without getting a crick in my neck.

My Lancair Owners and Builders Organization (LOBO) friends tell me after Guam next up is a Guam-Orlando nonstop (eastbound). This is all in preparation for a circumpolar flight some time later this year.

Mark - my brother tells me Bill is 5'11" and weighs in about 190 lbs. On a side note, he's got around 26,000 hours. This morning I learned he had to delay his departure for Guam account of a shortage of 100LL there!

FlightAware shows "result unknown" but be assured Bill landed in Guam about 1:20 pm PST this afternoon. I don't know when he plans his departure but will let everyone know when I'm alerted!

Truly impressive. I didn't think anyone had ever before flown a Lancair IV for 22 hours without an accident. :D
