IMHO, the most impressive part was the co-pilot who had spent around an hour going through the warnings list on the FMS and was then given the speed numbers by the two check captains to enter. He still had the mental agility to determine that the speed the two check captains spent ages calculating had to be incorrect. (May not have been the speed - I read it ages ago and my forgettory isn't what it used to be)

But but bu..., It was published 6 months ago

A 30 minute car trip to my 9-y-o takes "forever", so 6 months is ages.
