Here is the startup sequence along with some flying. Some good low level stuff starting at 20:50.

Todd, you'd be a dangerous guy to hang out with...I could just imagine the money I'd spend if I was hanging around you! This looks like too much fun, and I don't even have a rotary wing rating...but now I'm wondering how long it would take and how much it would cost...you're a dangerous, dangerous man!

For the price of a WAAS upgrade and synthetic vision in your G36 you can own a Helicycle. No need to have a rotorcraft rating as it is not needed in single seat experimentals. Depending on how fast you pick up helicopter flying, you will need 5-20 hours of training in an R22 and you will be good to go. I am having a blast with this thing!

Love it man. Starting around 20:50, that is living! Reminds me of my ultralight days, low and slow pop up over the hedgerow and back down again.

I need a trike...

Here is a pretty good video. I flew for nearly 2 hours today. This thing is just too much fun.

That does look like a blast.

BTW, I'd get lost flying in that country -- no mountains for landmarks.

I got to see a brand new Helicycle fly on tuesday in Mt. Pleasant, IA. The guy you had go through yours from Burlington, WI was there doing the fine adjustments. It was very cool to see fly and incredibly quite was my impression.

Todd, I think you need to modify your toy to do something useful.

For example, you could add LED's (see below) and, within a night or two, turn the mid-west into the Mecca for UFO watchers. Think of the tourist dollars.
