"At first, the discovery was believed to be related to the explosion on an inboard Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine but the cause was later proved to be separate, the report said."

Ah, anybody care to elaborate on what happened there?

So, I should feel better that the wing crack was NOT related to the engine explosion?

every plane has at least one crack, some even two......those large aircraft have hundreds.... :D :lol: :lol: :lol:

I believe most things that fly are going to have some kind of stress cracks given enough time.
