That's a neat story. Would there be a chance that one of these aircraft ended up at Point Cook? I had the great opportunity to fly a Winjee there in the late 1980's with Chris Hill (Ex-Ansett), and got him and the museum hooked up with some P-51 tires from Dresser Tire in Memphis, which another Ansett pilot then carted off by hand on the jumpseat back to Auz.

And Part 3. All these aircraft ended up in the US...these were the days BEFORE civilian registration of warbirds was allowed. Tony and other were instrumental in getting that changed but not quick enough to keep these aircraft in Australia.
