Depends on the swiss frank exchange rate, now doesn't it. Meaning that the pc12 brake job can fluctuate

OK,

Why do pretty "small" airplanes not perform.

Based on your list I will state that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" :D

Because airplanes are inherently a compromise. No airplane is perfect although some come damn close. As technology improves (lighter materials, more efficient and powerful engines) we will see the compromises shrink. Interestingly those airplanes which are closest to perfect also have seriously powerful engines such as the Citation X, the GV, and the 777. Even the 737-800 and 900ER's that I fly for work are compromises in many respects. Heck, jetBlue actually had to remove seats from their Airbus 320's in order to get better westbound trans-con range (and in the process, they cut a flight attendant position thereby saving crew cost).

Remind you that a King Air 200 is only 25% more in operating cost than a PC12.

HAHA!!

Only?

But the 200 flies much better/farther with an engine out than the -12.......did I say that out loud?

This is starting to remind me of "The Three Most Told Lies in Texas" (of course it's Texas, I'm from Oklahoma)

1. "That there pick-up truck is paid for."

2. "Won this here belt buckle in a rodeo don't ya know."

3. "And I was just helping that sheep back through the fence, honest officer!"
