I finally bit the bullet and bought my first pressurized twin. Would have loved a Duke but need to come in and out of 3000ft. It was a pretty smooth process, I have look at and called on several 340s and 414s over the last 3 months. After talking to a fellow BTer I decided that a STOL equipped was my best option. I decided to start near and work my way further so I just got back from Seattle. Deal went very smooth, plane was represented well and actually looked better than pictures. After 5 hrs of looking at plane and logs and .5 hr of negotiating directly with owner the deal was done subject to inspection of logs and a successful export C of A. The plane is definitely at the top of 414 market quality wise and we reached a fair deal. Can't wait to pick it up in a month or so. I see that owner has already removed add from controller so I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I get home. If anyone can get into Controller Archives it's a 1976 414 Ram in Burlington, WA.

Congratulations ! Now update that horribly outdated signature of yours I never heard a 414 to be recommended as a short-field plane, must be the RAM and stol kit that do the trick. What is the runway performance of your new bird ?

Once I get complete charts I can give more details. The Ram 7 should help those numbers out but I haven't found any data to support. http://www.sijet.com/Img/RSTOL_Performa ... arison.pdf

That's remarkable! Very nice. Congrats! Quite a move up.... Username Protected wrote: Thanks all! Florian: at sea level ISA it's got a 2000ft balanced field! Gives a x Diamond pilot like myself pretty good margins.

Beautiful!!! The 400 series Cessna have the most comfortable cockpit for a long legged guy, of any GA airplane IMHO. I love the cockpit and cabin, and I love the way they fly!!
