Here's a really good video that's just out of a demo TBM 850. It was shot at North Perry, just south of me. I visited TBM's North America facilities there in my G36 a while back. I'm not nuts about the 2011 paint scheme, but I really like the TBM.

Nice video.
Love the TBM but not a fan of this paint scheme neither.
Is it me or I saw him backing up the TBM at the end of the video?

Great airplanes and they are really easy to fly too.

The pilot in that video is Nicolas Chabbert, DAHER-SOCATA’s Senior Vice President Airplane Division. Nicolas is a true gentleman and can make that airplane do incredible things.

I just flew a TBM 850 G1000 from Boca Raton FL to Ocean City MD this afternoon, flight time 2:40 minutes with GS averaging 305 knots. I have about 150 hours in the aircraft and it really is easier to fly than my Bonanza. Just went through refresher training at SimCom for the TBM and it is truly is an incredible aircraft and a pleasure to fly. I love my Bo but if money were no object I'd have one.

Pic below was from a recent eastbound trip cross country, notice the groundspeed 422 knots! Only burning 55 gph! Not too bad!

I am waiting for the thread, "Am I crazy for wanting to get my PPL in a TBM 850?" :D

Would be fun to fly for sure.

I guess I should quality that by saying the TBM850 with the G1000 is easier to fly than the Bo and is a truly incredible aircraft. I have also flown the 700C Model with steam gauges (EFIS and MFD) and the difference between that and the G1000 is striking. It is bascially a single lever control after startup until shutdown. There is no need to move the prop lever unless you choose to, it climbs like a rocket, pressurization is basically automated for all intents and purposes and the G1000 flight management systems can control virtually all phases of flight automatically, indicates proper power settings, handles flight plans, airways, sids and stars intuituvely, sets up and flies climb and desent profiles, and has the best rock solid autopilot I have ever flown. The Garmin autopilot handles 100+ knot crosswinds enroute with no problem, something the King 225 AP was unable to do consistently in the TBM700. No shock cooling issues, Nexrad, radar, full weather seervices menu, PT6 which is a bulletproof engine, and a very east transition from the Bo. All this burning only 55 gph hour at cruise doing 305 knots. Don't get me wrong, you don't go for a $100 hamburger in the TBM but if your mission profile is long cross country trips in an all weather aircraft, the TBM fits the bill. The only thing better than owning a TBM850 is having a best friend who owns one, which is my case. I am very lucky to have the opportunity to fly and build time in this awesome aircraft. We have a great hangar, with the two best aircraft you could want to fly, my beautiful Bo for the short-medium hops and his TBM for the long hauls! Heaven!
