Flew up to Auburn for breakfast today. Came as close to 120 Knots as I've ever been but had it firewalled the whole way. Managed to get the door to stay closed too.

After breakfast, had a hard time finding my plane on the tarmac as they all looked alike.

Flew directly back to my mechanic as usual to get a few things adjusted.

(all in good fun....as you can see by my avatar, I own a cessna too)

Those low wing planes sure do look cool and a lot more sleek, but I get to be out of the rain and sun while loading or unloading!

I wish I had a Bonanza!

I am sure glad I don't own a Piper!

What kind of band-aids do you recommend for your forehead?

You guys have it all wrong, the C185 was the best single engine Cessna ever built.
At least they got the small wheel at the right end.

Good one.

Had a student do that one day during preflight. He never fully recovered that lesson :)

Any will do, as long as they are diamond shaped.

I've done it too.
I watched my tailwheel instructor get laid out flat one day from a collision. Had the "diamonds of shame" for a week.

That may all be true, but you're leaving out the last part of the story.

When we got back the student I was with wrote out a check for the airplane, $50 an hour for my time, and graciously paid for breakfast.

Overall, not a bad way to spend a morning.

There's snow on the runway. Should we fly with our pants off? :pilot:

:coffee:

You can spot a Cessna pilot anywhere... just look for the indented diamond shape on the center of their forehead!
