Realistically, the Circus Jet will cruise more like 250-275KTAS, and rarely fly above FL280. Yes, it will be $2m+. If I had that much $$ to spend on a jet i'd buy a "real jet" like a 2 yr old Citation Mustang, or a 1990's CJ for under $1.5m, or a 3 yr old C90GT for about $2m.
But hey, give me a 3 or 4 yr old G58 instead for about $750k anyday. That's much better value than a Circus Jet IMHO.

How much are people paying for TBM850s? 2.8MM? The specs look similar to me. The TBM is built like a Beech. And it's proven.

I am sure both the Diamond and Cirrus Jet will be successful if they make it to market (and Diamond is progressing close to shedule). Airplanes and flying is a lot about feelings. And flying a Jet is… well nothing like flying those things with that big rotating thing up front. And from a Jet point of view, single engine jets are cheap to operate.
