About 6 weeks ago, I talked to guy with a TBM 700 at my airport. I introduced him to my boat Captain (we flew that day) and mentioned that TBM is trying to convince me to trade my boat for their turbine. Giving up boats for airplanes is more common than you might think! My Captain didn't find any humor in that statement. Just before departing he gave me a good line to remember, "You can sleep on an airplane but you can't fly a boat!"
I looked him up on Flightaware.com and here's what he did that same day.
Concord, NC to Palm Beach Palm Beach to Ocean Reef (Key Largo) Ocean Reef to Savanah, SC Savanah, SC to Palm Beach Palm Beach to Concord, NC
Total flight time was a little less than 6 hours and his AM wheels up to PM touchdown was just inside 12 hours! He was flying alone and probably did it on about 350 gals of fuel. That's a feat that's pretty hard to accomplish in most any other aircraft.
