Relates to: Quote: N850MT TBM-850 forced landing half mile from Truckee Tahoe Airport.
Reports are, on second attempt at landing, the pilot clipped trees and put it down in a field around 17:30 on Dec 13/09. Both occupants of the aircraft were uninjured (except for pride!!).

Lol, I would guess that in a comparable low-speed impact, a jet-A powered aircraft is a better place to be in than a comparable Avgas burner. Those faster aircraft also seem to be a bit more stout than the tinfoil contraptions that we fly otherwise.
