Quote: As part of an exclusive interview conducted just a few hours ago, ANN has learned that Alan Klapmeier is ready to disclose that he is putting together a team to purchase the Cirrus Vision Jet program from Cirrus Aircraft and majority investor Arcapita. With the knowledge and apparent blessing of both entities, Cirrus Co-Founder Klapmeier is raising funds to complete the purchase and development of the single-engine Cirrus Vision jet.
Financial advisers Merrill Lynch, have signed on to provide the necessary financial horsepower to oversee the money side of the equation.
"The transition into this new company will be basically taking the jet program as it exists today, completing the financing and moving forward so that we can get this airplane into production.
Klapmeier notes that he hopes to be in a position to deliver completed aircraft by the end of the 2012 or early 2013. A more extensive statement and interview will be presented shortly. http://www.aero-tv.net/?videoid=5ca4579 ... 10c14541f0

but a turboprop really makes a lot more sense. Well, you're right, but the jet is all about stud points.

That means that Cirrus is in really bad shape. They are selling away their growth product ? Means nothing good to me. Yvés, Heck, everyone is in bad shape, it's a matter of "how bad". Hopefully, they'll survive. Now, I was smart and prepared for the worse.... and bought beer when it was cheap, so I have a stash to pick from......

At least they have this to sell...
Anyone think they want to separate this out before they declare bankruptcy?

Beech almost had the 'V' type VLJ 40 years ago. Just needed the FJ44... Attachment: V-Tail Jet Bo.jpg From Larry Ball's 2nd Bo book.

Wish I had photoshop... Or take the Eclipse approach and put a 500lb weight in the nose.

No, really?
Was this a result of late-in-program change from the Williams powerplants?
Perhaps the Eclipse program was more DOA than I realized!
