There's an article released on it yesterday.

It says they are shooting for a 2012 delivery.

A certified Lancair Evolution with a cheaper more efficient turbine for about a mil. I could see a market for that.

Was I right or was I right or was I right?

I have heard about this turboprop flying around Wichita.

Just out.....

Here's the story about Cessna testing a single turboprop on a Mustang airframe. I think this is going to be a hit and a thumper for Piper.

I sure like the cabin entry of the Mustang airframe better than that of the Meridian.

“The airplane would ideally have a cruise speed greater than 300 knots … and a price point between $1 and $2.2 million”

Nothing like a tight price range of 120% from the low end.

This is great.

I agree with the pricing quote above. WTF?

The bottom line is that they just don't know yet because it's probably years out.

If they can improve the preformance a bit over the Meridian, and price it somewhere below (Piper nearly $2.2 million with G1000), their stronger parts and service organization would make fits at Piper.

I fixed that for Mr. Pelton.

IDEALLY, it would have a price point of 1mil and travel at 300kts. In reality, it will have a price point of 1.9mil and travel at 270kts.

Physics cannot be cheated and at 300kts and 2.2mil it will eat into their own Mustang sales.

I don't think the Mustang is a big deal. Never have. I'd rather buy a used CJ1 if I'm going to be paying to operate a jet.

Cessna is selling a fair number of them, enough shallow people in the world who cant be seen in one of them 'little planes with propellers' and need a jet ;) .

I think they'd sell a lot more single turbines if they could get one out that was priced right.

I just don't see how they'll get it to market for less than a Meridian. We shall see. If they were the same price, I'd buy the Cessna on name alone.

Cezzna bad but only slightly better than Piper. Mooney of course is the all time worse name for any product every created in the history of the world.

"Let's go fly in my Mooney"!

"nah".
