I found this in an old Aircraft Spruce catalogue, but they no longer stock it. Some folks who build Van's kits use them on their wheel pants to get access to the valve stem to check tire pressures, but Van's doesn't sell them either. It was Aircraft Spruce part number 05-02124.
Any help or suggestion greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Give https://www.airframecomponents.com a shout.
They are showing 2 in stock on their parts page:

Maybe you could reverse engineer it and make a better one or install a door on the pant like our 182 had.

There was also an interesting thread about it on the Vans Airforce board/group:
https://vansairforce.net/threads/camloc ... ts.182110/
The FOBO motorcycle TPMS caps they were discussing seemed pretty interesting:

Berringer makes a TMPS for experimental and has an STC for some wheels and airframes but they are pricey and their replacement battery is a bit, um, expensive:

Crane has a smartstem that does tire pressure and temperature but they are for much heavier aluminium and military aircraft.

The 30 and 55 series Lears use a similar inspection door on the bottom cowlings, part number 2652111-1. BAS shows a used one for $50, but it is missing the piece that attaches to the airframe. They may be slightly bigger than an inch in diameter.

I would suggest the Weird Parts Store.

Check with Univair in Denver. they may have something that can be modified to fit.

Is this for wheel pants?

If so, drill a 1 1/4" hole in the wheelpant aligned with the valve stem. Then plug the hole with one of these. You can paint it to match the wheelpant or leave it au-natural. I've had the same set on my RV-6 for 24 years...

Simpler and less expensive than other approaches.

Follow up. Bob Christian was correct, and Airframe Components did have 2 in stock, which I purchased.

Thanks Bob!
