I LOVE the Mossie.

I own a piece of the prototype. I was at the DeHavilland Museum. They were restoring it. To raise funds, they were selling certified 1" square pieces of the original fabric off the plane.

The Museum is at the farmhouse where the prototype was built and flown out of.

One of many examples of singularly ingenious Brit engineering where they used the technology of the day, to create something unlikely, that worked really well- a lot better than the competition!

(Harrier is another one.)
